This isn’t just a conference. It’s a community! MilMoneyCon is built on connection, generosity, and showing up for one another. When you share ideas, make introductions, and support the people around you, it doesn’t just help one person—it strengthens the entire community. That’s how we grow here.
Ways to Get Involved
MilMoneyCon is more than sessions—it’s about connection. These are optional ways to get involved, connect, and make the most of your time at MilMoneyCon. Whether you want to join a conversation, create something, or meet new people, there’s something here for you.
Feel Connected Fast
Newcomers can opt in to be paired with a Newcomer Anchor, an experienced attendee who will connect before the conference, meet them early on, and help them navigate the event and make introductions. Anchors are alumni who volunteer to welcome others and serve as a steady, supportive presence throughout the experience.
Participation is optional—for both Newcomers and Anchors—and designed to make MilMoneyCon feel more personal, approachable, and connected. At MilMoneyCon, rising tides lift all ships, and it starts with how we welcome one another.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 30th at noon ET.
Small Group Conversations
MilMoney 5K Fun Run (everyone attending must sign the waiver form)
Start the conference with movement, fresh air, and connection. The MilMoney 5K is a relaxed run/walk open to all fitness levels—whether you’re participating or cheering others on, it’s a fun way to meet people before sessions begin. Everyone attending the 5k must sign the waiver form to participate or come to cheer everyone on.
Kickoff Event
Think Tanks are small, interactive sessions designed for real conversations—not presentations. With just a handful of participants, you’ll have the chance to share ideas, talk through challenges, and learn from others in a focused, collaborative setting. Deadline to sign up is May 5 at noon ET.
Explore + Connect
Side Quests are coordinated, small-group experiences designed to help you connect outside of sessions while exploring Savannah. When you sign up, MilMoneyCon helps organize and assign groups—especially for things like dinners—so you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Some Side Quests may also have a volunteer “captain” helping coordinate details like meeting spots or reservations. These are a great option if you want an easy, low-effort way to meet people and be part of a group experience. Think: “Plug me in—I’m in.” Deadline to sign up is May 1 at noon ET.
Create + Record
Have a podcast, YouTube channel, or want to capture a great conversation while you’re here? The Media Booth gives you a simple, ready-to-go setup to record with fellow attendees, speakers, or sponsors. Whether you’re creating content or trying something new, this is your space to press record.
Bring People Together
Meet-Ups are simple, attendee-led gatherings built around shared interests, topics, or activities. You come up with the idea, choose a time, and invite others to join. It can be professional, social, or just something fun—coffee, a discussion, a walk, or anything in between. These are perfect if you have something specific in mind or want to bring people together around a topic you care about. Think: “I’ve got an idea—who wants to join me?” Deadline to submit a Meet-Up is May 5 at noon ET.
Help Make It Happen
Want to be part of what makes MilMoneyCon run smoothly? Volunteer gigs are simple, flexible ways to contribute while still enjoying the event. From small tasks to helping guide attendees, every role helps create a better experience for everyone. Virtual meeting being held April 30 at noon ET.
