This [Mr. Cohen’s] presentation will include an overview of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) financial readiness programs and resources, results of the 2022 Status of Forces Survey on the financial literacy and preparedness of members of the Armed Forces, discussion on financial readiness program assessment considerations, and what the future may hold for military financial readiness space.
Presentation will review important links between financial, mental, and physical health in Veterans. Then, the presentation will navigate through the National Veterans Financial Resource Center (FINVET) at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to raise awareness of a newly launched Veteran-centered website of tools and resources for Veterans to empower them to earn more money, save money, and protect their money.
