Mike retired in July 2021 after 25 years in the Air Force as a career communications and cyber officer. He always enjoyed financial planning for himself and helping family and friends with their investing as well as providing education for subordinates. Two years before retirement, Mike decided to begin pursuing a second career in financial services by enrolling in the CFP® / ChFC® education program. He attended the XY Planning Network conference in 2019 and met other former military planners and planners who worked with military clients. The new relationships and support gave him the confidence to launch his own firm. Mike launched Next Mission Financial Planning on 1 November 2021 focused on serving military, veterans, and retirees. Since launching his firm, he’s “gone down the rabbit hole” on all things marketing.
